About the books
On honeymoon in 2010, reflecting on the end of her single life, Gemma decided to write a book series about a group of friends in their early 20s. When life is so fun, but so hard. When you’re usually crying, broke, hungry, lost, heartbroken and a little drunk. When you figure out not just what you want in life, but how you’re going to get it. Dan Weiss at St Martins Press calls this period ‘New Adult’. You can call it BROOKLYN GIRLS.
